Plinto varado,

Filo Arquitectos

It is a beached plinth that also forms a platform to be able to lie in the sun, to enjoy being able to hear the river with tranquility and peace.

Has a piece of wood been stranded on the Paseo del Ebro washed away by the river?

Yes, there where the Casa de las Ciencias lives on the Ebro river. They say yes. It seems that it forms a plinth to be able to contemplate the passage of the river and be aware of its strength, yes, aided by the wind.

It is a beached plinth that also forms a platform to be able to lie in the sun, to enjoy being able to hear the river with tranquility and peace.

The volume has stairs to access the elevation to see the city from the other side, a view that cannot be seen from any point except from this new elevation.

What is that piece of wood made of?

They say it is a monolithic piece of wood, but it is not.

It is formed by the mechanical joining of 33 European Efficiency Poplar poplar boards from Garnica. They have been dismantled for their perfect fit parallel to the building and in tune with the river Ebro.

In addition, they say that from the other shore it is perfectly in tune with the House of Sciences, it draws your attention so that you go to see it, something like a claim to go to the other shore.

Let’s see it?
